GOTHAM POINT FILMS FOUNDER TIM DUFFY BEGAN HIS CAREER AS A LIGHTING CAMERAMAN IN HIS NATIVE AUSTRALIA. EMPLOYING HIS LOVE OF ACTION SPORTS, HE BEGAN PRODUCING ACTION SPORTS FILMS AND TV SHOWS AND SOON FOUNDED THE AWARD-WINNING PRODUCTION COMPANY SAUCE FILMS. TIM INITIALLY MOVED TO HIS CURRENT HOME IN NEW YORK AS A SPECIAL PROJECTS PRODUCER FOR VOGUE MAGAZINE AND CONDÉ NAST.
HIS FEATURE FILM "DRIFT," STARRING SAM WORTHINGTON, WAS RELEASED GLOBALLY BY LIONSGATE IN 2014 AND IS CURRENTLY ENJOYING A SUCCESSFUL RUN ON NETFLIX. FOR "DRIFT," TIM RECEIVED AN AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY AWARD (AACTA) NOMINATION FOR BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY. THE FILM WAS ALSO NOMINATED FOR AACTAS FOR BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY AND BEST MUSIC COMPOSITION.
TIM'S U.S. FEATURE DOCUMENTARY, "LET'S TALK ABOUT SEX," SAW HIGH NATIONAL CABLE ROTATION. TIM HAS WON OR BEEN NOMINATED FOR MANY INTERNATIONAL AWARDS, INCLUDING A 2018 TRIBECA X AWARD FOR BEST DOCUMENTARY SERIES, A CANNES LION AWARD, A CLIO TV AWARD, AND SEVERAL 'BEST IN SHOW' TV AWARDS.
